There is a stark contrast between the beauty and value of the African elephant as such, and the mere economic value of its tusks. Too often the latter is overestimated. As a living being belonging to this world, he has a right to life and respect, the right not to be extinguished. I used gold to highlight the grass, to symbolize how important things are sometimes small, or different from what we think.         

Italian artist, nature lover and very attentive to detail in each of her artworks, she often studies her subjects from life. She uses various techniques to make her artworks, ranging from monochromatic pencil to soft pastels and oil painting.
