I have chosen to paint Sea turtles because they are beautiful and wise animals. These are green sea turtles and it amazes me that they can love hundreds of years in the wild oceans. While our time on the planet is much shorter we continue to distort their natural landscape and fill their oceans with plastic; but who will clean it up? This is why education it a vital step in protecting these creatures because they will be here far longer than us.

I have been painting since the age of 11. I am passionate about creating new landscapes that mash real life images with my imagination. I have a degree in fine Art and am a qualified Art Teacher specialising with work with children. I felt drawn to create something for this competition because of the importance of raising awareness of endangered animals especially for future generations.
