I first saw puffins many years ago whilst diving in the Isles of Scilly. I was immediately drawn to their wonderful, endearing expression and brightly coloured bill that is perfect for painting! There has been a serious decline in Atlantic Puffins, climate change and food decline a contributory factor. Painting them is a joy!
I am a self taught artist, experimenting and painting with many different mediums. Living close to the sea, I find inspiration from the sea and surrounding area. My favourite medium is watercolour. I paint on Two Rivers hand-made watercolour rag paper. I also paint on objects found on the beach, wood, buoys and other objects. Painting is a pleasure.
