Oil pencils and pan pastels

In this piece I wanted to capture the elephants vulnerability. The dark storm represents extinction, the light represents life/existence . Elephant numbers are on the rise but they are still classified as vulnerable.

I am an author illustrator who lives in Australia. My passion is trying to capture animals through naturalism, either with colour pencils or fine pen.
