Every egg counts
Alcohol ink art and hand drawn stippling collage
There are only 7 species of sea turtles world wide and six of the seven are classified as threatened or endangered due to human actions. Plastic and fishing gear is one of the major reasons why sea turtles die! They get entangled in fishing nets or eat plastic pieces which they have mistaken for their food! When I first started researching plastic pollution and sea turtles the images left me in bits. I was so sad that human behavior can leave such devastating results to wild life. Sea Turtles are not only threated by plastic pollution but also by other human behavior such as egg consumption. "Every egg counts. Everyone's choice makes a difference" Let's say no to sea turtle egg consumption. I also protect sea turtles in my lastest book #diamondsheartsandseastars to raise awareness of the threats they are facing and how everyone can protect them.
