Don't let them fade away
21 cm x 29 cm
I have chosen the tiger as the inspiration for my artwork. This was an animal I favoured drawing as a child and after watching several programmes about them in the last year I was shocked to learn about the numbers of tigers in captivity compared to the wild and their treatment which was deemed legal. The black and white sections of the drawing represents the species slowly fading away and the splashes of gold represents hope and prosperity
I am primarily a coloured pencil artist from the North East of England specialising in pet portraits and animal art. It was actually my English Bulldog, Chester and a long illness that inspired me to start drawing again after a long break. I strive to capture the thoughts and character of the animals in my drawings.
