My piece is of a Chimpanzee swinging in a tyre, I used a photograph taken by my Dad as a reference. I love painting animals and loved this picture for so many reasons. I loved his big, brown eyes and the contrast between this majestic, innocent creature and the man-made, practical tyre and the symbolism of humans involvement in nature.

I'm a 30 year old self-taught hobby artist, mum of 2 young children and part time Sonographer in the NHS. I enjoy all kinds of creative things but painting is my favourite and the passion I wish to focus on in my limited free time!
