Cheetahs are the most amazing hunting animal in terms of their speed. However I wanted to show the softer side of these big cats which can get overlooked. The way the mother tolerates the playfulness of the cub is so endearing. And you can see the cheekiness in the eye of the cub. I am more comfortable with this looser, slightly messy style because real (wild) life is a bit messy and scruffy! 

I resurrected my love for drawing and painting as a hobby about 18 months ago, focusing predominately on wildlife, using pen and wash. However I also use other mediums including oil and acrylics, painting a range of subjects including pet portraits and landscapes of the riverside in Henley-on-Thames.
