Coloured pencil on mount board

The subject was collectively chosen by my art club as a live draw along. My tutor is Bonny Snowdon in Yorkshire and the original photograph was sourced from Pixabay. I was really inspired to do this drawing as I loved the challenge of using a single pencil on black paper. I hope this helps to raise awareness of the loss of the gorillas' natural habitat.

Mother of four of grown-up children who decided to learn to draw at the beginning of lockdown. Likes to work with coloured pencils and animal subjects and draws for family and friends to enjoy.
